Arezzo’s sire line is unique with 5 generations of Grand Prix jumpers: Chin Chin, Heartbreaker, Renville, Jasper and Akteur – and all are sires of Grand Prix jumpers. His dam line exemplifies performance. The most famous representatives are Dragonfly (Nicole Simpson) and Nacorde (Andre Thieme) – the latter winning the Hamburg Derby 3 times. Both horses are half brothers of Arezzo’s dam, Sarjolijn ‘ster, prestatie’. As well as Arezzo she also foaled the international jumper Zodermus and two 1.30m jumpers.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
As a 3-year old, Arezzo was Champion of the KWPN Spring Stallion test receiving a 9 for his reflexes, scope and talent as jumper. Under rider Jessica Kuerten, Arezzo impresses in the International arenas. The results speak for themselves: 3rd in the 1.50m Grand Prix for approved stallions ’s Hertogenbosch, 6th in the Grand Prix at CSI Salland, 7th in a 1.50m Salzburg, 8th in 1.50m Basel, 8th 1.40m Zurich. He won a 1.40m class at Indoor Brabant, 4th 1.45m Oliva, 4th Queens Cup Mechelen, twice 6th 1.40m CSI Twente, 8th 1.45m Oliva, 9th 1.45m Salzburg, etc. At the World Championship of 2012 in Lanaken he finished 4th in the finals of the 7-year old jumpers. As a youngster, he also had solid results to include: 3rd in 7-year olds Saint Cecile, 3rd 7-year olds Liege, Reserve Champion of the Stallion Competitions classes at 1.10m and 1.20m Levels, and winner of the Final of the Dutch Championship for 5-year olds earning 5th in the year-end rankings.
PROGENY:
Arezzo’s offspring are proving their breeding: Two of them were accepted for the KWPN Performance Test. Emotion VDL won the 2012 Open Friesian Championship Free Jumping for 3-year olds and was one of the auction toppers at the WEF Sporthorse Auction 2013 where he was sold for $175.000. Foxanne JR became Champion of the 3-year old jumper mares at the Provincial Mare Show of Flevoland also earning 88,5 points for her IBOP. Ilena VDL was, at € 15.000, the most expensive jumper foal at the Star Sale Foal Auction in Drachten. In 2012 Elrite JR was Champion of the 3-year old mares at the Provincial Mare Show of Friesland, Eline was Champion of the 3-year old mares at the Provincial Mare Show of Flevoland, and Hilfiger VDL was Champion of the Jumper Colts at the Provincial foal show of Friesland.
