Jouwe was the show stopper with a brilliant performance at the Central Examination 2014. Jouwe was bred by Rene Veenstra Surhuizum, his stable name “fan de Miedwei” is well known. Mother Ryanne V (Crown Sports) is a 1st premium mare and his father, Folkert 353 is a top stallion. This mare was once a reserve champion at the breeding day to Garijp and was successful in driving sport with Udo de Haan. From Ryanne V also comes Hieke V, she obtained a 1st premium and was Reserve Champion at the breeding day at Wolvega. Grandmother Wike V. is also a 1st premium star mare, she was highly rated on the Central Inspection. Great-grandmother Gerkje V. Preference is double and comes from the mare line 223. From this mare nine foals where born, all of which achieved Star, and one daughter achieving Star Preference.
Jouwe, son of the impressive stallion Pier 448, has a lot of size and a powerful build. In the performance test Jouwe performed very well in all disciplines. He has very good use of the hind leg and therefore can easily switch, which gave the stallion a 9 on the driving test. The test ended with a monster score of 87.5 points. In the driving test Jouwe got a total of 84.5 points and 79 points and for the riding test Jouwe was the champion of the performance test. Striking aspects of Jouwe, besides his strong hindquarters, is his imposing front, his balance and momentum in his movements. In the various disciplines under saddle and in the long lines, Jouwe always manages to impress.
